FOLKESTONE BEACH looking from the old pier. Which is no longer there.You can see the LEAS lift in operation at the back of this photo. This beach is the LOWER SANDGATE ROAD part of town ,better known today for the ROTUNDA AMUSMENT'S and fun park.Looking at this picture you would think this would be a good beach for Detecting well after the right storm IT IS ! lots of predecimal coins and quite a few bullets left over from the last war.Also there are quit a lot of small air gun pellets, beleived to be from a rifle range on the old pier,if you find these conditions are good. |
