I have a few problems with brakes but nothing serious, firstly, the handbrake pads need regular adjustments
to keep them working well as these do tend to wear fairly quickly if too tight and sometimes become weak
if too loose. The disc brake caliper pistons can cease up if left for long periods without moveing, especialy
if the car was driven in the wet before it was left alone.I have found one way to free them up but I
can't recommend this as it is probably not the proper way to do this ,but I have had no problems with
this method and seems to work fine. The way I free them is to remove the brake pads and fit 2 thin
sheets of hardboard in the place of each pad and then push a chisle or wedge shape peice of metal inbetween
the 2 peices of wood ,hit down on the chisle as to separate the 2 peices of wood (1 against the brake
disc and 1 against the caliper) this should after a while move the piston back in the caliper ready
to pushed back out by the foot pedal and forced back in again untill they move freely. As I say there
is probably a more conventional way to do this but it works for me.
